Today's home softball game vs Pope County has been canceled, but practice will be in the gym. As of right now, the baseball game at Mt. Dew Park vs Pope County is still on. If that changes we will let you know as soon as possible.

Tomorrow, April 30th, is a 1:30 pm dismissal, Sophomore Day at JALC and responses for K-8 summer enrichment need to be emailed to Ms. Deming. Also, this Thursday, May 1st, is our JH sports banquet @ 6:00 pm. Friday, May 2nd is the FFA banquet @ 6:00 pm. JH Cheer Tryouts are Wednesday - Friday this week as well. If the weather permits, the high school baseball game today, Tuesday, April 29th, vs Pope County, will be played at Mt. Dew Park in Marion. The cost of entry is $5 and the game will begin at 4:30 pm.

A few reminders: We have a 1:30 pm dismissal this Wednesday, April 30th as well as May 7th and 14th. Also, Sophomore Day at JALC is this Wednesday, April 30th. All Sophomores will be going to JALC. Students arriving to school on time is extremely important. Finally, please respond to the summer enrichment email by Wednesday, April 30th, if you would like your K-8 child to attend summer enrichment.

The FFA had a busy few weeks. On April 9th, they hosted and competed in the Section Public Speaking Contest. Raven placed 1st in extemporaneous speaking, and Olivia placed 1st in prepared speaking. On the 11th, they travelled to SIU to compete in the District Livestock Evaluation Contest, where they placed 11th out of 37 teams. This week, they hosted Donkey Basketball and competed at the Ag Mechanics Contest, where they placed 2nd overall. Miky placed 1st in Ag Power, Brylee 2nd in Surveying, and Cayleigh 2nd in Carpentry.
