The Jr. High Character Ed Class is sponsoring a hat and glove drive for a local homeless shelter. Donations will be accepted through December 12th. See the picture for more information.
Crab Orchard CUSD #3 is proud to announce the presentation of a donation to Operation Honor Guard. The faculty, students, and community raised $1100 for this very worthy cause. FCCLA is collecting Pop Tabs again this year for the Springfield Illinois Ronald McDonald House. We will drop them off when we go to State Competition in April. The deadline to turn in pop tabs will be Wednesday, April 5th. We will do a class competition again this year. The class that collects the most by weight will win an ice cream party on a date that suits your schedule. Please put the name of the class you would like to donate to, on the bag. All donation may be turned into the high school office before April 5th.
Junior High Volleyball open gym will be Wednesday, December 14th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm with tryouts on Thursday, December 15th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Students must have a current physical and proof of insurance on file to tryout.

FCA is sponsoring a Hat Day tomorrow, Tuesday, November 22nd. Students pay $1 to wear their hat. All Proceeds will go to the COHS Angel Tree Program. Donations will also be accepted.

Thanksgiving Food Drive Information
Friendly reminder that tomorrow, Thursday, November 10th is a 1:30 pm dismissal. There will be no latchkey. Tomorrow, students may also pay $1 to wear a hat to raise money for Operation Honor Guard.
Friday, November 11th there is NO SCHOOL in observance of Veterans Day.

Crab Orchard Public Library District has some exciting events happening during the month of October and has other wonderful services available to the community.
Congratulations to our FFA Varsity and JV District Horse Judging Teams at SIU last week. Varsity placed 9th overall and JV placed 2nd. Ashton ranked 5th out of 400 students. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Crab Orchard's High School FFA participated in two contests at Cobden - Ag Sales and Job Interview. In Ag Sales, Varsity got 3rd and JV got 1st! In Job Interview, Ean got 2nd in JV! Way to go!!!
