Great things are coming to Crab Orchard school!! After a very generous gift/donation from Don and Patty (Fry) Smothers, the “old gym,” is being transformed into a field house/training room. “The Don and Patty Fry Smothers FIELDHOUSE.” will have brand new batting cages, basketball goals, volleyball nets, removable turf and many more upgrades. “The Matthew, Lisa and Dalton Smothers Training Room” will have a brand new weight room providing endless opportunities for our students and staff.
The Smothers family members are proud Crab Orchard graduates. Mrs. Smothers' parents (Fry) and grandparents (Edwards) have significant ties to the Crab Orchard community and the School District.
