As an additional safety measure, starting Tuesday, January 17, 2023, Crab Orchard CUSD#3 will be implementing a safety procedure for all visitors and guests entering the building during school hours. Parents, guests, and visitors will be asked to sign-in at the high school office at which time they will be issued a visitors pass. Unknown and/or new visitors will be required to show a driver’s license, or government issued ID card in order to enter the building. It is important that everyone understand the security measures that we have in place are to protect the safety of our students, staff and school building. The Jr. High Character Ed Class is sponsoring a hat and glove drive for a local homeless shelter. Donations will be accepted through December 12th. See the picture for more information.
Crab Orchard CUSD #3 is proud to announce the presentation of a donation to Operation Honor Guard. The faculty, students, and community raised $1100 for this very worthy cause. FCCLA is collecting Pop Tabs again this year for the Springfield Illinois Ronald McDonald House. We will drop them off when we go to State Competition in April. The deadline to turn in pop tabs will be Wednesday, April 5th. We will do a class competition again this year. The class that collects the most by weight will win an ice cream party on a date that suits your schedule. Please put the name of the class you would like to donate to, on the bag. All donation may be turned into the high school office before April 5th.
Junior High Volleyball open gym will be Wednesday, December 14th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm with tryouts on Thursday, December 15th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Students must have a current physical and proof of insurance on file to tryout.

FCA is sponsoring a Hat Day tomorrow, Tuesday, November 22nd. Students pay $1 to wear their hat. All Proceeds will go to the COHS Angel Tree Program. Donations will also be accepted.
