Crab Orchard Schools take a variety of actions every day to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including the virus that causes COVID-19. The above flowchart will be followed for everyday operations during the 2022-2023 school to guide us in decisions based on symptoms and positive cases.
In addition a Plan for Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services has been developed in accordance with the ARP Act and the Illinois State Superintendent of Education declaration of July 9, 2021. The plan is aligned with guidance provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Opportunity for the public to provide input will be provided from July 19, 2022 to August 8, 2022 then again during the August 15, 2021 Regular Board of Education Meeting. Upon request, this plan will be provided in an alternative format accessible to parents who are individuals with a disability as defined by the ADA.
