Great things are coming to Crab Orchard school!! After a very generous gift/donation from Don and Patty (Fry) Smothers, the “old gym,” is being transformed into a field house/training room. “The Don and Patty Fry Smothers FIELDHOUSE.” will have brand new batting cages, basketball goals, volleyball nets, removable turf and many more upgrades. “The Matthew, Lisa and Dalton Smothers Training Room” will have a brand new weight room providing endless opportunities for our students and staff.
The Smothers family members are proud Crab Orchard graduates. Mrs. Smothers' parents (Fry) and grandparents (Edwards) have significant ties to the Crab Orchard community and the School District. Mrs. Smothers is happy and honored to provide funds to ensure the reimagined Fieldhouse and other resources will serve current and future Trojans for many years to come.

2025 Homecoming is Friday, December 12th. The high school basketball game vs Galatia will begin @ 5:00 pm. Homecoming coronation and dance will follow the game. The dance will end at 10:00 pm. CO is One Community, One School, One Family...Trojan Proud!

The High School Trojans are on the road today at Century. We are going to try and livestream the JV and Varsity games. Tip off is scheduling for 6pm.

Congrats to the HS boys basketball team on winning the Elverado Turkey Tournament last week! The Trojans went 3-0 in the tournament! Congrats to Noah K. On being selected to the All-Tournament Team!

Trojans play for the Championship today at 1pm at Elverado. They are taking on the Galatia Bearcats! Good luck Trojans!

We are back at Elverado today at 12! We are taking on Johnston City and we will be live again on YouTube.

Downtown Fizz came to the 5th grade classes and they absolutely loved it. It was an awesome hands-on experience. CO is very thankful for our community partners who inspire our kids to make learning exciting! CO is One Community, One School, One Family...Trojan Proud!

Hat Day next Monday (11/24) and Tuesday (11/25). The cost is $1.00 to participate.

Tomorrow night (11/21) the Crab Orchard Pep Club is hosting “ Meet the Trojans” night at the school. The cost to enter is $2 or you can bring a canned food item and get in for FREE! The event starts at 6:00 pm!
